Hey all! I'm finally back. Thanks for waiting so nicely.
New stuff up on Lily's and my etsy shop! Some of her marvelous hats, and a few brand new geisha dolls and Skelebuddies! Help two broke-arse gals and check it out.
Another silly bit of fluff, but please, for the love of mike, watch this, and prepare to feel so good. A marvelous video...
All right, kangaroos, your comic is finally here. Sorry I couldn't post it last week but I hope you'll dig it anyway. Enjoy!

I haven't been on the LJ for some time so I had to read all of your past comic posts to catch up. I read them backwards, starting with this one. So any continuity or resemblance to a progressing plot you are working on may have been lost. Your comics however, each stand alone very nicely on their own.
I used to go by
Heck, if you want continuity, go here: http://elephantblue.deviantart.com/gall
I love this comic so much. The last panel I can really relate to - sometimes I want to hide away from the adult world with all my treasured childhood things.
And can I say, again, how much I love your expressive drawing? You convey so SO much in the body language of your characters - I just love it.
It would be cool if you sold prints online! Doesn't Flickr allow you to do that somehow?
I'm glad you liked the comic. It's sorta the story of my life -- adulthood is scary, and not always worth it. And thank you for what you said about my drawing style -- expression is really important to me, especially since I only have four panels in which to deliver a story, so it means a lot to hear that I'm doing an okay job. ;)
LOVE the comic, as usual. I actually pulled out my sack of old toys today as I was clearing out my stuff and hugged them all tightly. Why can't we be kids forever?
My dear, my secret is that we CAN be kids forever. That's how we stay so fresh and interesting. I know you know that secret too, on the inside. ;)
I'm a 40-year-old mother of two, and I *still* feel this way. You captured it perfectly; my solar plexus is still sore:) (And then, of course, I started thinking about my kids someday feeling this way, and my heart broke a little more...)
You have such a gift.
When I hear that my comic made someone laugh -- especially that elusive and sought-after belly laugh -- I feel like I really accomplished something grand. But when I hear that someone laughed and at the same time that it struck a chord, that it really connected with them on a deeper level, well golly. That makes me feel almost as good as Watterson or Kelly or any of my favorite cartoonists. That's a heck of a compliment you gave me, Cave Mama. Thanks.
You can just use it to post me comments and to read my friends-only entries. I'm marking you as a friend now. You can log in to LJ and change any of your info. Right now your user name is cave_mama. Password is cavemama1. The email I used is my own, but you can change that any time. Hope you dig it!
